Absolute Beginner’s Course
Starting Monday 11th January 2021, a new online Absolute Beginner’s Pilates course.
This 6-week long course will take place every Monday, 7-8pm, from 11th January to 15th February. All online and live, via ZOOM.
What will you learn?
By the end of the 6 weeks, you will understand how to engage the pelvic floor and core when practicing Pilates and we’ll talk about the importance of breath, particularly when practicing Pilates exercises.
We will mobilise the body, work on improving posture and balance and learn some of the best exercises to start building core strength and stability.
By the end of the 6 weeks, you will be ready to join a Mixed Ability Pilates class.
What you get when you sign up?
When you sign up to this 6-week long Absolute Beginner’s Pilates course, you will get:
- 6 x 1-hour long group Pilates classes
- 1 x 1-hour long private online 1-2-1 session with me (at a time that suits you, to focus on any specifics, gain deeper understanding)
- A resistance band – we will use for stretches and can be used for exercises
- A Pilates soft ball – used for exercises and to help with alignment when first starting out
All of this costs just £65.
What else do I need to know?
This online course is limited to 12 people and requires you to keep your video camera on during the class.
It is preferable to have a Pilates or Yoga mat for classes, but not essential. A soft carpet or rug will work, but hard flooring won’t be very comfortable.
Please exercise in a clear space with no obvious hazards – check that you have enough space around you. Make sure that ventilation and lighting in the room is appropriate and that you have access to water for hydration.
Please use good judgement and common sense when taking part in a class. Listen to your body, if something hurts, please stop. Rest when you need to.
Please make sure that you read the disclaimer before taking taking part in an online class.
